However, it does not get as much use as I had hoped for. I believe a few reviewers mentioned this problem, but most of the painting tutorials in the book seem to be the same technique applied to different portraits. To be completely honest, I was hoping to learn some glazing|About the Author|SUZANNE BROOKER received her BFA at the California Institute of the Arts in 1979, attended by invitation the Whitney Museum Independent Study program in New York, and pursued her drawing and painting studies at the School of Visual Arts.
The art of portraiture approached its apex during the sixteenth century in Europe with the discovery of oil painting when the old masters developed and refined techniques that remain unsurpassed to this day.
