Sarah Bennett is an artist and senior lecturer in Fine Art, sculpture, in the Exeter School of Arts and Design at the University of Plymouth where she is a member of the Art and Urban Futures Research Unit.
As British cities lose the cultural connections with their industrial past, many seek to build new postindustrial futures through urban regeneration. Art projects play a key role in policymaking that aims to regenerate neglected neighbourhoods.
